As the Tuesday blogger for Accidental Hedonist, I was given carte blanche to explore. Topics ranged from bigger-than-your-hand Honeycrisp apples to a lazy-morning breakfast ideas, close-to-home butter tarts and recipes from across the border.

Culinary Tourism

Picture Perfect Elora

The picturesque village of Elora, Ontario takes centre stage in this travel feature. With heritage buildings, a gorge and steep hills, this Canadian tourist town could be in Europe. Little wonder it's a popular location for movie shoots. The giveaway? Butter tarts on every menu.

As a special add-on, I profile local restaurateur Alex Sgroi, a Swiss-trained chef who helped build Toronto's restaurant scene.
