About
Born and raised in Canada, trained in Australia and published internationally, I’ve a writing portfolio as eclectic as my travels.
A former staff travel writer, I’m pleased to report my years spent backpacking finally paid off in the real world. When I’m not getting hopelessly lost in London or boxing with kangaroos Down Under, I’m tasting my way across North America. Closer to home, I recount my culinary adventures on my blog, Christie’s Corner.
The editor-in-chief of the Cuisine Canada Scene, and public relations manager for Pat the Dog Playwright Centre (The Little Indie that Could), I’m all about communication, no matter what form it takes.
My articles, which frequently earn me repeat assignments, appear in a variety of national publications, including The Globe and Mail, More, Edible Toronto, Canadian Gardening, Relish and Natural Health. My personal essays have been broadcast on CBC Radio, published in Facts & Arguments, and appear in a range of anthologies.
Oh yes. I’m also into theatre.
